Just seen the trailer for this documentary that came out at the start of this year (missed that then). Objectified looks at the role of design in our everyday lives. Its from the people who made the film Helvetica
the film has an interesting website/blog too.
Journal of Contemporary Art Interviews
There is an absolute treasure trove of interviews available online taken from the archives of the Journal of Contemporary Art. For photographers I would recommend the interviews with Thomas Ruff and Willie Doherty but obviously dont limit your reading to your own medium.
Fluxus: Knitted Glass Sculpture
This structure is made up of thousands of individual Murano glass pieces in black, white and shades of grey that link together to form what appears to be an oversized knitted fabric, weighing over 6 tonnes.
Style over circumstance
I saw the book of these photographs recently and really love it. The Gentleman of Bacongo are a group of dandies in a suburb of the Congo who put a lot os effort into dressing with a touch of elegance. Photo Festival Giveaway
What better way to celebrate the photograph during a swanky opening party to the Paris Photo Festival than to dump a mass of old photographs at the entrance and let everyone help themselves. Inside photographs were being sold at prices in the tens of thousands while at the door a bunch of pranksters gave away stuff for free as long as you were willing to get involved.

MOCA Goes Gaga
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles celebrated it’s 30th anniversary with a one-off performance of Lady Gaga and the Bolshoi Ballet, deisgned by artist Francesco Vezzoli, with props by Miuccia Prada, Frank Gehry, Damien Hirst and Baz Luhrmann.
