We all know how goths dress, or who is a skater because of the way they dress. And we all like to feel individual in our choice of apparel, as well as part of something. Ellie Uyttenbroek and Ari Versluis have taken these ideas and built sets of portraits that document the group identities of people according to the way they dress. However, by taking the street-style off the street and posing their subjects in a studio, the documentary style becomes ever more artistic.

Since the project began 13 years ago, it has been exhibited in several countries, including in Selfridges in London from February to April this year, had coverage in several glossies, and now Uyttenbroek and Versluis have a second book about to be released. But you can check out the project on their website.
