Theatre in Education: National Eating Disorder Awareness Week

The Thin Line
A one-woman play on eating disorders
Written by Cathy Plourde

Touring nationally to schools, colleges, treatment centers and conferences, The Thin Line is a compelling, and educationally appropriate program addressing eating disorders.

The 30-minute play explores one girl’s struggle with her eating disorder and the struggles of those close to her in their efforts to understand and help. The play helps audiences recognize the symptoms, promotes prevention and intervention strategies, and acts as a catalyst for individuals, friends, and family to seek support and take action. Following the performance, the audience can interact with area resources, counselors and medical experts who will continue to provide support long after the play is over.
