how the arts cut impact young people.

Article in the Guardian about how the Arts funding review will affect young people coming through the arts.  Although funding has taken a hit it is seen as an opportunity to defend the funds available and review the opportunities in this field. “The A Night Less Ordinary scheme, Arts Council England’s (ACE) free theatre ticket scheme for under-26-year-olds, may have a few detractors (Margaret Hodge admitted that its rollout was “rushed”) but it has nonetheless provided young people with access to art. It could have eventually been altered or improved after an assessment period.” http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/sep/02/arts-funding-cuts-young-people

The article goes on to discuss what can be done and how strategies could be developed to assist in the schemes rather than be hindered by them.
