Looking at things a little closer | Macro Kingdom

“The minute is a special place, unseen microcosmos within a unseen universe bind us together. Our creative vision is to continue our conversation with the Macro Kingdom.. an ongoing poem in the tradition of the two previous films.”

A short clip but the potential for a little inspiration is huge.

Brighton Festival / 3 May – 25 May 2014

‘Brighton Festival has been at the forefront… an arts festival that makes connections with the real world’ The Times

Brighton Festival is an annual celebration of music, theatre, dance, circus, art, film, literature, debate, outdoor and family events – taking place in venues both familiar and unusual across Brighton & Hove for three weeks every May.

Now in its 49th year, Brighton Festival is an innovative commissioning and producing festival, which continues to win critical acclaim for its ambitious and daring programme. As England’s biggest curated mixed arts festival, Brighton Festival attracts some of the innovative artists and companies (and some of the most adventurous audiences) from the UK and around the world.

In 2014, we welcome the critically-acclaimed choreographer Hofesh Shechter as our sixth Guest Director. Previous Guest Directors have included poet, writer, broadcaster and former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen; actress and human rights campaigner Vanessa Redgrave; Burmese democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi; renowned visual artist Anish Kapoor; and celebrated musician Brian Eno.

Unnamed Soundsculpture | Daniel Franke & Cedric Kiefer

This motion creation followers the real movements recorded from a person. The well animated and created figure is a brilliant example of basic human form. As the music plays the figure moves and dances, one minute it can look like a collapsing building, the next it has the unmistakeable form of a person holding a strong figure. Definitely worth a watch as it shows a really interesting example of simple movement.

INFLUENCERS | R+I CREATIVE

Everyone is influenced by something, whether it’s something in nature, something in the news, or for some a person in particular… This short video from looks at a few people in history and present day who are major influencers in modern culture. One of the main outcomes covers how fashion, music and the creative industry in general are all influenced by the same characters and people, in one way or another.

Film and Creative Inspiration, Frank Sauer

A short clip for inspiration, the film Director Frank Sauer has done some great clips and for creatives they are a great watch. They include clips for Redbull and Abarth, as well as his own Short Films. The angles, closeups and other methods he use are incredible, a lot of his clips feature well filmed interviews and pauses. He uses a lt of motion in his clips, like dance, free running and sports. I find clips like this are a great source of inspiration if you’re having some down time, or need to take a break from what ever you’re working on.
